So many of us were taught that slowing down meant So many of us were taught that slowing down meant falling behind.

That if we weren’t constantly busy, productive, or proving ourselves… we were doing something wrong.

And honestly, that mindset follows us everywhere, even here on IG.

It can feel strange to talk about rest, slow living, softer routines, or choosing peace when the world keeps rewarding hustle.

Like maybe you should be doing more.

Posting more.
Working more.
Pushing harder.

But when did choosing peace become something we had to justify?

Building a life that feels lighter isn’t laziness.

Creating simple routines, protecting your peace, and letting go of constant pressure isn’t falling behind.

It’s learning what actually matters.

So the next time that little voice tells you you’re not doing enough, keep in mind…

👉🏽 You do not have to earn rest.
👉🏽 You do not have to prove your worth through exhaustion.
👉🏽 And a soft life can still be a meaningful one.

Sometimes slowing down is exactly how we move forward 🤎

It’s funny how we try to deal with deep pain and hard seasons with small distractions.

For me, it was that little hit of dopamine, the flavor of a good “café com leite” ☕️ that reminded me of home, a quiet moment, something familiar. For a little while, it helped me forget.

But only for a moment.

Because the truth is, distractions can make us feel better for a second, but they don’t actually heal what’s underneath.

👉🏽 What’s that one small thing that always makes you feel a little better on hard days?

I kept thinking I needed more discipline, a better routine, or just more motivation. But honestly, what I really needed was to slow down and finally listen to what my mind and body had been trying to tell me for months.

That season completely changed the way I see productivity, rest, and even my own worth.

I’m sharing this because I know I’m not the only one who’s felt this way, and maybe you need a reminder that you’re not alone in it either.

I’m still a work in progress, and honestly, I probably always will be, but I’m in such a better place than where I started.

Come hang out with me if you’re learning to slow down too ✨

Burnout didn’t just make me tired. It made me ques Burnout didn’t just make me tired. It made me question who I was without productivity. This is just a small piece of the season that changed my life and gently led me toward a slower, softer way of living.

Have you ever gone through a season where your worth felt tied to productivity? I’d love to hear your story. 🤍

By the way, there’s more of my story on the blog if you’d like to read more. Link in bio ✨

But that season also became the beginning of something new. It taught me how to slow down, reflect, and start creating a life that felt more intentional and true to who I am.

Now, I find myself in another deeply transformative yet beautiful season, one that I’ve waited for and prayed about for a long time.

I felt this pull to start sharing little bits and pieces of my journey because I truly believe our stories can help others grow, reflect, and feel a little less alone in whatever season they’re in.

If anything I share helps even one person feel seen, encouraged, or inspired, then this space is already serving its purpose 🩷
